Last week, someone smashed the exterior window of the Pilsen Alliance office. We are thankful no community members, staff, or volunteers were in the office at the time of the incident. Although the damage was costly, when placed in the context of a larger system of racial and economic injustice, this incident is minor. We want to extend a special thank you to all the neighbors and community organizations who stopped by or sent us messages of solidarity as well as those who have donated to offset the cost of repairs. We want to make clear that these actions do not intimidate us but rather motivate us to work even harder and continue to fight for the Pilsen community. The work of Pilsen Alliance is not shaken by the incident and the struggle we have been carrying out for the past 20 years continues today. Always Forward! ¡La lucha sigue!
